Weather Considerations
We all know that the weather can be a little bit unpredictable sometimes. In the days leading up to your senior session, I will be keeping a close eye on the forecast. Rescheduling due to rain and stormy weather is a possibility throughout the summer/fall. If chances are high that a storm will occur, we will have to so some adjusting and find a new time for your session! Same goes for crazy wind and extreme heat/humidity. (I do keep several dates open for rescheduling reasons)
I also want to talk about cloudy weather. Many people get nervous if there are clouds in the sky. I want to assure you that clouds are not bad! In fact, they often give us much more flexibility in the directions we can shoot in (in the case of white/wispy clouds). Dark grey clouds on the other hand are what could lead to a reschedule due to a lack of light.
Session Arrival
Arrive 10-15 minutes before our scheduled session time. This gives you time to figure out parking, finish any last touches, and to get in a relaxed mindset before your session. We don't want anyone to feel rushed!
Who to Bring to Your Session
A big goal of your senior session is for you to feel as comfortable as possible. When you feel comfortable, it shows in your photos! Many seniors bring a parent, a friend, or a significant other. Having someone who can assist with outfit changes, touchups, and to just be there for moral support is very helpful. In most cases, I do not recommend bringing your entire family. Having too many eyes on you may add to the pressure you are feeling.
If you have a pet that you want a few photos with, please feel free to bring them! If this is the case, please make sure you have someone along who can watch your pet while you are in front of the camera!
Note: it is totally normal to feel nervous for your senior photos! I’ll walk you through everything as we go, tell you exactly what to do with your hands, and help you feel confident and comfortable. Within the first few minutes you’ll forget the camera is even there.
Other Q&A
Can I Bring Props or Include Hobbies?
Absolutely! Sports props/attire, flowers, items relating to hobbies, and any of your other ideas are welcome. If you are wanting something such as a vehicle in photos, let me know so we can plan accordingly.
Do you edit blemishes or smooth hair?
Yes! I edited blemishes, lightly smooth the skin, and remove flyaway hairs. The result is very natural. If this is not something that you want, no worries, just let me know!
What Should I wear?
After booking, I will send you a little guide with some outfit ideas. If you still have questions or need help, just reach out!
